Can we pay to watch QPR game?

Doesn't buying it through the Boro site give the club some money? First 500 passes bought?

I think every match is on whether home or away until fans come back (I'm not sure how they define 'back'). They usually become availible on Wednesday to purchase.

The EFL did a deal and reviewing it monthly.

It's gonna cost me a fortune😂. I keep saying 'I'm not watching it this week' and always end up paying at 1445. The only one I've not bought was Barnsley in the cup.

I had decided that I will look for a shortIsh priced ‘certainty‘ on the gee gees to try to pay for it, to introduce an element of ‘fun’ and thrill to the will I wont I get to watch the game. I intend to be strict on this too. The game costs £10 my aim is to risk £5 a game, on an even money shot or greater, in order to fund/part fund the £10 charge

So far, I have had 2 bets

In order to watch the Barnsley game I relied on a horse called Zap to win. It duly came 2nd at 9/4 (£5 down) so I missed out. However, I have already paid for the QPR game as my horsey choice this week was a horse called The Lamplighter which won at Goodwood yesterday at 3/1. Happy days.

Funnily enough, I only looked at the racing yesterday thanks to Nosmo-Kings thread about the fmttm syndicate horse, so cheers Nosmo for starting that thread (y)

No - the money from the first 500 away sales goes to the home club, but the away club keeps any sales over 500. That's assuming they are using iFollow - it's not clear how the money is divided for clubs like Boro using another provider - but I would hope it would be the same.

Thanks. That should encourage fans to buy from the Boro site.

i think £10 per game is way to expensive, a fiver would be more reasonable. you could end up spending £50 a month just to watch championship football. The quality and reliability of the streams are not great either.

I will probably buy the video stream for QPR if season ticket holders have to buy. £10 is not cheap but the same as NOW TV. A ticket would have cost £32 at QPR and travel to get there - £60 for many.

edit - just checked and Boro season ticket holders have to purchase a pass for this game to watch or listen.

Thought they would have offered some sort of season ticket to buy all the games up front for the season. Going to cost a fortune pulling out £10 weekly.

Seems very excessive when I only pay £20 a month for Sky Sports which shows around 30 games a week all in full HD with real commentary and analysis etc

I was moaning about the money I've spent. That said I don't overly think £10 is that bad. I could spend that on any old cr*p in town (Mcdonalds / parking / 2 coffees from Costa etc).

I guess the other argument is that you don't have to watch it (I get being a fan it's not that simple). I will probably pick and choose as the season goes on.

Im more gutted about no boxing day match. Its an excuse to get out of the house at Xmas when visiting family in the 'motherland' 😂

I don't think a tenner is excessive. It would be useful if they could find a way that streaming could compensate better for the loss of fans in the stadium, especially for lower EFL and National League clubs.

Its a real shame they cant sell a season ticket for the Home streams as a way of getting some revenue to the club up front for the season. Would be more than happy to do that as I cant see us getting back in this season.

I guess no season ticket for streaming as they were expecting to have fans back in until this weeks announcement - maybe now they will bring one out?

I personally dont mind paying £10 but I get that its a lot for some people - only consolation is that its helping keep our beloved club afloat right now as there is no other source of revenue

The radio link is £45 for the season I think or £3 a game as an alternative. Given some of the timings of the games I'll probably end up listening more than watching

They have their hands tied by the deal between EFL and SKY but then again you look at the Premier fans and it looked as if they would be shut out until really late in the day.
