Can anyone explain these four things?

Despite numerous explanations on this forum - I still don't get it. As I understand, Rooney's wife was posting information on Instagram to hundreds of her 'inner circle' and Vardy was telling a newspaper what was on Instagram. So, Rooney claimed Vardy was 'leaking' info and Vardy says she didn't tell a newspaper. The part that I don't understand is both claims don't make sense. Rooney is voluntarily putting her info on Instagram and Vardy obviously sells things to newspapers. So who is trying to prove what and why?

CAPTAIN TOM WALKING:

This was headline news for weeks but I didn't understand it. A family member from abroad was staying with us at the time and they asked me why such an elderly person was having to keep walking. I said he's raising money for the NHS and they reacted in almost disbelief that people were needing a 100 year old to do such a thing to fund healthcare. They said, I said - just fund healthcare regardless - everyone needs it. Don't bring such crazy conditions into it. Any sound logical thinker would surely agree. But why were the country going crazy for this? Not having a go at Tom by the way. But obviously some of those around him and who probably came up with the idea now have serious questions to answer.

BEN HOUCHEN:

What does he actually do? All I can find out for sure is that he wasted a huge amount of public money on Teesside Airport. He's always linked to jobs and spending in the media, etc - but there's no evidence that links his role specifically to any new jobs or spending. In fact, local authorities have had their budgets decimated over the last decade. So the spending is actually a lot less, which is probably why there's been no noticeable improvement in the region. Many would say there's been further decline.

The Captain Tom one is easy…

He wasn’t walking to fund healthcare or top up the NHS but to raise money for the NHS Charity that funded things for the staff like kettles and toasters in staff rooms and other welfare things that aren’t paid for by the management.. to help with moral…

Saying that though, the NHS is underfunded and being badly managed so it’s affect on moral is muted by the state the tories have allowed it to get into…

On the captain Tom thing couldn’t agree more - in fact the very need for any kind of charity beggars belief when there are literally trillions of £££££$$$$$$$ sat in off shore accounts belonging to a handful of the Uber rich.
As for levelling up it’s just another catchphrase designed to butter up the gullible

I think Wayne Rooney's wife's PR person or assistant said they 'leaked the info' making the whole thing pointless (more so)

Crazy how our representative refuse to represent us. Captain Tom did his bit to raise awareness of how important the NHS was

He used public money to pay over the odds for the airport and give half of it away.to a private firm He rightfully changed the name back to Teesside Airport and has been living off the back of that one action.

Using public money to buy public assets and give them to private individuals. See also.. rinsing the public and playing soggy biscuit with the economy.

I thought captain Tom raised only for NHS charities, not the NHS itself?

I have raised money for certain wards at JCUH in the past, and was asked not to donate the cash but rather to use the cash to buy the things they needed and give those instead.
