Callum Brittain

Some players need time to adapt to a new club and team mates. Clearly scrimping over 500k and signing him so late in pre season hasn’t helped him or us at all.

The front three aren’t helping the win backs. We’re trying to play the ball quick into the tens to then shift it wide.

Whittaker gets pushed off it too easy and Burgzorg wants 5 touches before laying it off. So he either doesn’t get the ball or gets it too late with no space.

We need Azaz back asap and McGree to stay fit. We really need to push on with better quality for that role and a physical striker.

Edwards pointed out in his post match interview on Saturday that CB is still not properly match fit because of his ongoing transfer issues and lack of full training at some points, playing two games in 76 hours possibly has caught up with him,. What I can't believe is how quickly he has been written off🤷🏻‍♂️

Must be difficult playing RWB when you have nobody in the forward areas to progress the ball to. Let’s see how he is when he gets fit but at the minute he’s being set up to fail

1 league game, 1 win, 1 clean sheet. Do us all a favour and give over will you. So much knee jerking I’m expecting half of the crowd to be in wheelchairs next home game.
It’s not even knee jerking.. it’s cry ****** in the mirror for effect.

Ohhh.. ooohh.. look how sad I am!

I felt we underused him against Swansea.

A few times I noticed he was in acres of space on the right and we were either too slow to get the ball out to him, or we wouldn't at all. At one point he played the ball inside and drove on wanting the return pass, but didn't get it.

There was also a moment where Hackney drove forward with the ball and shot when the shot wasn't really on. He had Brittain to his right in space and really should have played him the pass.

He's known for his crossing ability so we really need to be getting the ball out to him whenever he passes the halfway line and is in space.

Funny, cause I remember about two seasons of fans on here going on about how Carrick needs to switch to 3 at the back and use wingbacks cause we apparently don’t have the players for a rudimentary formation like 4-2-3-1.

Now we have a manager playing wingbacks and 3 at the back, people are moaning we don’t have the players for it and wanting different formations again.
Totally agree with your point.

Formations don't matter anyway as they generally all morph into similar variations in and out of possession. Its players that are key and we need more pace desperately to stretch teams. Hopefully this Dutch lad is decent as he looks to have some pace, but more pace is essential.
