I expected more from him than what I have seen in these first two games. He came with a big reputation and to me he's unsuited to the role he's been signed for.

I feel the guy would make a quality RB. But we have signed him to be a RWB and I feel he doesn't have the physical attributes to succeed in the role.To me he doesn't have enough the engine and pace you need for the role. He looks knackered when he's running up and down the pitch. Worry he will get injured putting his body through the work required by the formation Edwards has implemented

I have seen this lad play a lot over the last couple of years, and he has always been great, he has had a underwhelming start to his Boro career, but I'm still very confident he will be a legend here...he looks a bit unfit, he was injured pre-season and hasn't had a full one.

I’ve been disappointed also but a few on here believe he isn’t 100% fit. Let’s hope he improves.

Maybe, just maybe ... He hasn't a clue who is going to be in front of him quite yet ?
The two CM were different, the CB set up different
And Whittaker wanders more than a Tom cat ?

I’ve mentioned on here before about how important having new signings in for the full pre season is and was shot down by a few. The Britain issue is basically down to the fact he’s played 2 games in 4 days and only signed for the club 8 days ago. He has also gone from playing a 4-2-3-1 system at Blackburn to 5 at the back at Boro. Absolutely needs time.

Has looked nothing special in either game tbh, early days but doesn’t look anything a cut above what’s already here

We could have a good solid back 4…

Borges Jones Fry Brittain

But no… let’s play a RB at RWB, a LB or another RB at CB, a RW at LWB

433 / 451 / 4141 for me… whatever you want to call it

Brynn

Brittain
Fry
Jones
Borges

Kante
Morris
Hackney

Forss
Conway
Burgzorg

Swap Burgzorg for Hamilton/ silvera...
That'd be at least some width / pace or discipline from one of the wide front three

Away at Millwall isn't home to Swansea..

Funny, cause I remember about two seasons of fans on here going on about how Carrick needs to switch to 3 at the back and use wingbacks cause we apparently don’t have the players for a rudimentary formation like 4-2-3-1.

Now we have a manager playing wingbacks and 3 at the back, people are moaning we don’t have the players for it and wanting different formations again.

I actually thought he was the only player for us that showed a glimpse of quality. He had a few runs into the box with one in particular where he turned their full back inside out.
Hardly pulling up trees against Donny but we need to take what we can from the match, as little as it may be.

I thought he looked ok tonight and got forward more than Saturday. There is unquestionably a problem though with the team playing with a deep flat back five
