Well it probably is a bit of a disaster to be honest, at least in the sense of the time, energy and resources that the club will have spent on trying to sign him. Weeks of negotiating and checking him out etc for nothing, if it doesn’t get done. In the meantime, maybe plan b, plan c etc will have moved on.

Hopefully this will all be irrelevant and he signs for us and then we can all look forward ….. to him being written off 20 minutes into his debut

I would reckon it is enthusiasm - albeit not based on the lads playing ability just something a little different. Afterall the other signings made have hardly been universally acclaimed!
