Buxton trip

We're off to Buxton for the weekend, not far but quite a long drive for us wrinklies. Any recommendations for stops on the way down. I've looked at the route and there doesn't seem to be much between Penistone and Glossop. Penistone is a bit close and Glossop a bit far, is there anywhere in between for a bite to eat and a cuppa?
 
Off route but the Fleece Inn at Holme used to be worth a stop. There isn't much other than walking between Penistone and Glossop, though memory tells me there are one or two pubs on the Woodhead pass. Pretty drive too if the weather holds

Thanks for that. Just had a look at their menu, they serve breakfast until noon. I think it might be worth a small detour. Menu looks good.

Edit. I'll give them a call when they open, Good Friday hours could be different.
