Burnley ugly in every sense...

And in what world do you genuinely think we'd be able to attract Dyche at the moment?

His stock is very high and no doubt a handful of Premier League clubs and even a good half dozen solid Championship clubs would attract him before he even thought about us.

Yes I agree but Gibbo should still have a go, I think he would be a good fit here, he’s not a ‘glamour’ manager.

I think he's doing an undeniably good job at Burnley, but I just wouldn't want him here.

I cannot stand him, everything about him irritates me.

Apparently the Chairman, Mike Garlick, is very risk-averse and in an interview in September last year restated his reluctance to spend "big" on players. Jay Rodrigues cost 10M GBP`s. I dont think any other player has cost them as much [correct if wrong]. Its a fine principle, but we all know money and common sense doesnt go with the Prem.
If Dysche leaves I cant see Burnley staying long in the top flight.
I agree, I've sung his praises often enough on here, I think he's an excellent manager but, could they just be a good fit for each other, time will tell
They could do a Brighton, change a good manager & carry on as normal, I do hope so, I like to see the smaller teams do well in the PL rather than the money teams

He is, and will be managing a team in the Prem League with revenue of at least £150 million. His stock is high - he could probably walk into a job at a few Prem League teams next season if he falls out with the owners of Burnley. So you think he'd be interested in signing for Boro, revenue £20 million at best (if relegation is staved off), and maybe £15 million if it isn't?

I agree that he's the TYPE of manager Boro needs, but it's not likely he'd be interested.

Burnley won't be in the top flight forever, similar to Boro, Chartlon, Huddersfield, WBA etc. We just aren't big enough clubs to sustain it unless you get a massive investor.

I think he’s an oddity though.
A few of the bigger clubs will look at him and think he doesn’t fit their self image.
The smaller ones who are doing ok are probably looking for a ‘step up’ manager and may think he couldn‘t attract the bigger players or that he’s not an exciting enough choice. Or that he isn’t an exotic sounding foreign manager.
With the best will in the world, Burnley’s playing style under Dyche has been tough on the eye so anybody wanting an attack based approach will have doubts.
Plus a few owners will be watching this fall out with the Burnley hierarchy because most of them don’t like dirty linen in public.
He has done a great job, no doubt, but strangely I think he has given Burnley a lot more than they are able to give him.

Every season 17 clubs aren't relegated from the Prem League. If a club is properly managed I can't see any reason it can't be one of the 17, even if it doesn't win anything.

Trying to emulate Man Utd or Arsenal isn't the way to do it. Smaller squads, fewer coaching staff and clear thinking - what Burnley have done - is a good model to follow.

Dysche is quoted as saying he cant sustain the team with the club spending "10M a season" [net] on players.
Infering the Chairman isnt prepared to spend for next season.
Burnley have a habit of getting a reasonable selling price for players - but how long can that sustain the club?

How many of their players would they be able to sell for £20 million plus? Mee and Tawkowski (spelling) probably the only ones but even then I think they should have cashed in on them both once Europe was over.

The last few years have shown Burnley to be much better organised than Boro. They have a style like it or not, have clear identify, recruitment has been good (mainly) and have a Manager who knows what's needed. Basically the complete opposite to Boro.

Yep agree 100%, I have a lot of time & respect for both manager & club & IMHO when you look at the whole package they're probably the best team in the PL

It's incredible how he gets Burnley so high up the table.

He lost his skipper to injury only last week, on top of the fact their squad is threadbare and they still picked up 4 points from their last 2 games.

Fantastic manager without doubt.

Dyche signs for Boro.

How's he gonna deal with centre half and captain Ben Gibson ?

Neither is going to happen by the way
