If we can’t get Warnock to stay I would like to see Gibbo have a go at getting Dyche.
Yes I agree but Gibbo should still have a go, I think he would be a good fit here, he’s not a ‘glamour’ manager. And in what world do you genuinely think we'd be able to attract Dyche at the moment?
His stock is very high and no doubt a handful of Premier League clubs and even a good half dozen solid Championship clubs would attract him before he even thought about us.
I agree, I've sung his praises often enough on here, I think he's an excellent manager but, could they just be a good fit for each other, time will tellApparently the Chairman, Mike Garlick, is very risk-averse and in an interview in September last year restated his reluctance to spend "big" on players. Jay Rodrigues cost 10M GBP`s. I dont think any other player has cost them as much [correct if wrong]. Its a fine principle, but we all know money and common sense doesnt go with the Prem.
If Dysche leaves I cant see Burnley staying long in the top flight.

I think he’s an oddity though. He is, and will be managing a team in the Prem League with revenue of at least £150 million. His stock is high - he could probably walk into a job at a few Prem League teams next season if he falls out with the owners of Burnley. So you think he'd be interested in signing for Boro, revenue £20 million at best (if relegation is staved off), and maybe £15 million if it isn't?
I agree that he's the TYPE of manager Boro needs, but it's not likely he'd be interested.
Burnley won't be in the top flight forever, similar to Boro, Chartlon, Huddersfield, WBA etc. We just aren't big enough clubs to sustain it unless you get a massive investor.
Dysche is quoted as saying he cant sustain the team with the club spending "10M a season" [net] on players.
Infering the Chairman isnt prepared to spend for next season.
Burnley have a habit of getting a reasonable selling price for players - but how long can that sustain the club?
Spot on, why think we have no chance, by not even asking then we have no chanceYes I agree but Gibbo should still have a go, I think he would be a good fit here, he’s not a ‘glamour’ manager.
Yep agree 100%, I have a lot of time & respect for both manager & club & IMHO when you look at the whole package they're probably the best team in the PLThe last few years have shown Burnley to be much better organised than Boro. They have a style like it or not, have clear identify, recruitment has been good (mainly) and have a Manager who knows what's needed. Basically the complete opposite to Boro.
