Hi All.

Unfortunately I’m no longer able to make the Burnley game. So I have 2 adult and 1 U18 tickets to sell.

I’m only looking to get my money back for them. Anyone interested?

Ideally I’d like to sell all three of them (£70) together.

Hi guys.

Mad day at work so have only just seen there has been some replies. I’ve contacted newyddion as was the first to ask to see if he still wants them.

If not I’ll go to next in line.

I see the post from Jonny Vincent’s Motorbike. Find it quite crazy someone could be bothered to buy tickets and sell to get the points. I personally couldn’t be bothered and I’ve only got about 80 priority points anyway.

Anyway, I’m not doing that. Genuinely want to go to game but can’t now. Seen how good we are playing and want to be there as hate Burnley 😂 shame.

Clubs who are operating Points Scheme for fans are becoming concerned that some individuals are buying up tickets with little to no intention of going to the match - so they sell them on at face value - however, they continue to build up their own points total.

some clubs have had concerns over who is getting the tickets in the secondary or third change of hands, and are concerned that the increase in unruly behaviour, in all of its forms (aggression/drug use/racism/drunkenness etc etc etc) are being abetted by this system.

some clubs are beginning to call for 'away tickets' to be collected in person by the person who bought them - and have started on a small % randomly selected to do so.

the % figures of unclaimed collection (already paid for) is higher than many expected and further fuels concerns.

i am in no way saying that is the case here - but just bringing it to the boards attention.
Presumably if clubs are in fact doing this they have somehow found out the original buyers are selling on regularly and don’t know quite how they would know this. Unless they are e-tickets which they can track.

they randomly select fans (?) and ask them to collect their tickets AT the away clubs ticket office.

You did when you had to queue for hours in the freezing cold at the ticket office @davey c - same - i should have made it clearer that the random selection isnt for collection at the home ticket office, but the AWAY ticket office on the day of the match.
Makes more sense and doesn't discriminate against those living away from Teesside.

Waste of the club's time and wouldn't work.

Depending which ground it is people do not always sit in the seats they were allocated, if it's a full away end yes but when it isn't people just tend to stand with other people they know or in a spot they like. So identifying people by the seat they're allocated to wouldn't work.

I don't think I'd be very happy if I was told I had been selected to collect my tickets at a separate ticket office, and then queue and potentially miss time inside the ground or of the match itself waiting to collect tickets.

The best thing the club can do is start accepting returns, so people can return tickets if people's plans change (as they often do).

Long term replace paper tickets with e-tickets that have photo ID on.

Photo ID for an ordinary championship match, seems way over the top.

How Championship clubs have problems with priority points abuse?

Most of our away games are available on general sale on some point or a very low number of points. (exception so far was only Burnley?) And we had the biggest away following in the league last season.
