Burgzorg dropped for Saturday

Surprised at any changes after a 1-0 win, but if there was any change, it was always going to be Burgzorg out for Kante to try and stifle Millwall.

Millwall will cause us many more problems than Swansea did (not that it'd be difficult as Swansea were toothless).

I have a feeling Burgzorg will start unfortunately. But having Azaz and Hansen on the bench for second half is promising. If we still in the game come the hour mark its game changing substitutions. Then they can kick on from there as the starting pair behind Conway hopefully. With Mcgree ( Once fit ) and then Whitaker as their covers

Selecting kante, a midfielder, for Burgzorg, a forward, is selecting an extra midfielder. I doubt Hackney will play as one of the two '10's
Nah.. it was about the Carrick dig. He didn’t play an extra midfielder.

Anyway

Bosh!

What are you wittering on about. I said fans were frustrated last season that Carrick was tactically inflexible and that in his 2nd game it appears Edwards isn't going to be, so that's tick in the positive box.

*you have also selected Hackney twice in that line up!

Have to say I think we're going down a negative track if this is true. Already playing with a back 3 and let's face it it'll be a back 5. 3 central midfielders, albeit 1 might be slightly further forward. Then we're left with only Conway and Whittaker as the attacking output.

Can't we just play to our strengths and go 4-3-3?

Pleased to see him trying things. If its a straight swap for Burgzorg/Hackney positionally I am not so sure how that will work out. Would be happy with Hackney in a free role in front of Morris and Kante though. If its was a choice between Burgzorg and Whittaker, I would have dropped Whittaker. Hope I am proven wrong. That said, we did look fairly solid v Swansea so why change it?

I think he would keep Whittaker for set peice delivery. Could be crucial in a tight game.

I blame the people that post the leaks whether on here, X, oneBoro or wherever just as much as the club grass, all as bad as each other, thinking it is clever and itk. Works against the interests of the team
I agree with you that ultimately it harms the team by getting the team out there early for the opposition to see, allowing them time to plan. However, I also think in this day and age, with social media, smart phones, agents, that it's very difficult to keep team news under wraps. I also think some players and agents will deliberately leak stuff if they're hacked off they aren't getting selected etc.

Really the club should be trying to get to the bottom of it with the players and staff, as ultimately that's where it first originates from. It should be a disciplinary offence to leak team information.
