Looking for some recommendations.

I'm looking to have a tonne of small gravel delivered to my house to top up the gravel outside my house.

Does anyone have any recommendations of local companies and do you know if I'll be able to specify if the gravel is delivered on a transit sized pick up instead of the big wagons? I ask this as the access to my house is only suitable for cars/vans/pickup's.

I used MKM builders merchants last year to have materials delivered to lay a garden path and to build a large section of decking. The service was really good and nothing was a trouble for the delivery drivers. I had separate deliveries and they came in different size wagons. Slightly bigger than a pickup though.

I do know that Building Material Supplies in Guisborough deliver using a pickup. I also received a good service from these guys.

I'd much rather shift a tonne of gravel 6 feet instead of 30 feet.

Like I said, MKM went the extra mile in everything they did. I got money knocked off the website price and we rang the office to say how helpful the drivers had been.
