Browne set for exit

I'm pretty sure his contracts up in the summer? Unless we have an option of another year or something. I'd say it's last chance saloon.

The guys been with us for 3 years and we still don't know if he's any good.

He had chances withus, and the results were somewhat mixed.

He needs to get fit and play lots of games - the full 90 mins not the occasional cameo off the bench. He will not get that here, so the best thing to do is send him out on a loan, see how he does and whether there is a place for him in the squad in the longer term.

Just my opinion.

Hard one. I believe he is a good player but if he is way off the fitness levels that Wilder will demand then it makes sense to go out on loan for game time. The thread title is a bit misleading as it suggest finality.

If he’s coming back from a big injury going into a team that presses intently might lead to another injury, so maybe a loan is being thought of with that in mind?

I thought he had 18 months?

I think a loan is the right move, probably to league 1 where he's more likely to play. He's unlikely to get a run of games here, a year out is a long time.

See how he goes, comes back fit in the summer, full pre-season and hopefully be an asset for next year.

Oxford could be a good option.

I wasn't really sure. I presumed he must coming to the end as he's been here a while.

I imagine he still has between now and Jan to make an impression. I doubt he'd loan him out if he comes off the bench a few times and changes games or impresses in training.

Makes sense to loan him out - after a ACL he really needs some regular football not making the odd cameo off the bench for us. Seems win win for him to go out for the rest of the season.

Really hard to form any judgement on him, was showing a fair bit of potential before that injury, could see him potentially playing a watmore type role in our current formation.

He needs to get to full fitness, which means minutes on the pitch and that isn't going to happen here.

Playing regularly for half a season elsewhere is clearly the best thing for him and the club, who will find out a lot more about his potential than it ever would be seeing him in training or U23s.

Let's hope he flourishes, he's still only 23.

Shame for him as he has really worked hard after another tough injury. Seems to have really embraced being here and communication with fans on social media. Seems like a decent lad.

Im not saying he is the answer but for me a month in the u23's and then see if he can work his way in to the team. We know he can do it at league 1 level seems a bit daft when we are short of creative players.

Hopefully he's given a few chances off the bench after he's built up fitness with the U23s before the final decision on loaning him out is made.

It's been a long way back from injury and I'd be disappointed for him if he was never given a chance, even though it would make sense to loan him out.

I firmly believe there is a decent player in there, hr just needs a good run without injury, and probably under a manager who makes him feel appreciated and not under constant pressure for his place, which has probably forced rash decisions on his part in the past.

Loaning him would release a space in the squad for a new player. We are only allowed 25 over 21s.

We need to playing him in some capacity asap to see what he can do over the next 6 weeks or so.
