Britt

Are we supposed to show our support for a striker who grins like a Cheshire cat every time he misses a sitter or puts a penna into the Tees?
2million pounds a year this imposter is robbing our club of,literally robbing a living.
The sooner he leaves the better, preferred dave currie and dave shearer and they were both *****

I always think its harsh to abuse him for grinning or laughing when he misses a chance, I think half the time its embarrassment. Some people are like that and laugh or smile at inopportune moments as they are embarrassed and just don't know how to react.

I’d start with the same team. Akpom is gonna be knackered at this rate though. Think Warnock put Wood on to make a point the other night. Come on Gibbo, get us a striker. Niasse on a 2 year deal whilst the price is right.

Niasse was the worst striker I've seen for Everton, for ages... I'd rather go for a hungry young talent - someone wanting to prove himself - than give some money hungry mercenary a contract: 8 goals, 35 starts since 2015/16 season - bench warming, never-has-been.. (rant over)

I am missing this obviously. Warnock says at press conference last Saturday night that Britt was withdrawn with muscular stiffness. Obviously not ready for Tuesday but being reintroduced Saturday. Why do some have to look for the downside on things all the time?

Football is all about opinions- admittedly some voiced stronger than others! The bottom line is he is paid a lot of money to stick the ball in the net- something he is doing less frequently. Strikers are our weak link - it is natural for comment and criticism to follow

I don't think any of his critics have any personal dislike fo him, or want him to fail. I'd love to see him go and score 20 goals, but I simply don't think he has the physical, technical or psychological capabilities to do that at championship level.....I'd love him to prove me wrong, and he could go on a little purple patch with a little confidence.

I don't think he is the best CF at the club either, I think that goes to Fletcher. who has a better goal scoring record when played at CF, a better assist record and better hold up play, passing, heading and dribbling. Last 60 games at CF, Britt has 17 goals Fletcher has 20.

Are you saying therefore that if the Club splashed out on new striker our scoring problems would be solved? We often read posters using the phrase 'play two up top' 🤔. Does that mean we get twice as many chances to score? No.

Strikers feed off chances, the more the ball is played into the area the greater the chance that the striker(s) will score.

A low goal return doesn't necessarily indicate a high rate of missed chances.

Lyle Taylor has 4 (ish) so far this season, his team however are 9 points worse off than us.

Britt is on a low ATM , and has been for some time , but Fletcher has also been on a low for some time prior to his injury . (Body language ).Is it the way we have been playing ? Being solid and not conceding ? Or is it that he / they , know they will be leaving .
Akpom is in front of both , and both are out of contract in June , so it isn't a good scenario . We can't keep Britt on the wages he's on ( not his fault ) so he will be available to the highest bidder in January .
And no club will buy Fletcher after a long time out with injury .
£22m paid for them , nothing back if we don't sell Britt .
Someone , like Derby, forest , may take a punt at Britt for £5m- £7m . We will see .

Fletch? He started 7 games post lockdown last season and got 3 goals and this season he played 1 1/2 games against to relegated teams, and 2 cup games scoring 2 goals.....I'm not sure where this 'Fletcher has been low for some time' comes from?
