Bristol City vs Middlesbrough [21/02] Match-Day Thread

Really struggled without the triangles and nothing ahead of him to pass to. His best attribute is moving it forward quickly.
He’s struggled because he’s not that good, watch him closely , he’s done nothing in this game .

Come on Andy, Carrick is as stubborn as they come. He's pandered to nobody, he's just clueless.
I think he's tried this for the sake of trying it, and most on here were crying out for it. This is proof that's not gonna work, was plain to see after 20 mins, even when we were ahead.

This is the most dissapointing of any of the games for me, don't set up defensive when your team/ sqaud ain't geared up for it, this ain't like Karanka's team.

No energy no oomph .
I take you ba cl to 5 mins .
Bristol free kick just out of our area .
Bristol guy nudges it to his mate . Ieahnacho stands off then turns his back on the shot .
It's just basics .
We are so slow and deliberate .

Can't necessarily lay all the blame on the players, when Carrick's sees they are knackered and just stands watching. Robins gaffa had the right idea - got fresh legs on.
He gets done most weeks by better managers and can’t adapt when other teams mix it up or make changes.

Most other managers also likely have experienced coaching staff to help them with game management. Carrick has Village and his brother who used to coach Newcastle under 12s or something.

It's what was asked though, manager is struggling but squad is not as good as paper suggests, it doesn't matter what team he puts out the players are just not good enough unfortunately IMO
Yeah they look lost, like we're really lacking a leader/ organiser. But it's basic stuff, we have players stepping on each others toes, half asleep to what is going on around them, very, very basic stuff.
