Brighton, Burnley or Fulham

i'll throw in The Mags - theyre in freefall and cant score - end of Jan and they could be very close to the bottom 3.

fixtures till end of Jan;

Liverpool (H)
Leicester (H)

Sheff U (A)
Arsenal (A)

Leeds (H)
Everton (A)
I honestly think (and hope) that the mags could be sucked into thie third relegation spot. Blades are gone, it will take a miracle to keep West Brom up, but if Fulham and Brighton get a couple of wins and the mags continue to drop like a boulder off a cliff, as they are, they could well go down, because they are dire and negative.

I really hope they do.

I remember when Derby finished with the record low PL of 10 points & they took 4 points off Newcastle that season

Newcastle, Sheff utd and Burnley would make for excellent away days next season if we are ever allowed back in.

I think it's now a case of "can Fulham get enough points to catch them?" rather than "can Newcastle get enough points to pull away?"

Can Fulham do it?

Brighton are a decent team. Fulham are becoming harder to beat, they've tightened up and are picking up a few draws. Two games in hand on the mags as well. Mags are in freefall and look dire.

Burnley will be fine. Dyche is an excellent manager and what most impresses me is how they have real sticky runs every few years, and he turns it around. Takes a good manager to have a good run; takes a really good one to turn around a slump without spending buckets of money.

Also at some point, you'd expect Allardyce to have an effect on West Brom. There's always one team that makes a miracle escape.

Plus a lot of football still to be played, we're only just past halfway. A four point gap can disappear in 2 games, and most teams have 17 left.

West Brom play Fulham and Sheffield United next too, so if they're to get out of it then that is the chance.

I still think it's only really Fulham that may escape, but I don't think they'll manage it either.

Would love to see Newcastle go down but they are probably just too good for the drop. There are others far worse. My three will be Sheff Utd. Fulham and West Brom. Sheff Utd must be planning already for the Championship and hoping not to equal Derbys worse ever points tally. UTB.

Brighton play great football on xg they would be top half just very wasteful in converting goal scoring opportunities. Only really see Big Sam pulling the mirical off. Big week for Fulham though if they lose to Brighton and Westbrom they are down

Next 2 games for Baggies are huge. Fulham at home, Sheff Utd away.

If they can pick up 4 or even 6 points, then it gives them a sniff. Otherwise, if they don't pick up a win in either of them, then I can't see them staying up, even with Big Sam at the helm.

Good news with Sheffield United's win tonight is that Derby's record of fewest league wins in a season remains untouched.

They only need 4 points from their last 18 games to avoid equalling the lowest points tally.

Yet another excellent result for Burnley under Dyche.

One of the most underrated managers in the game.
Without a doubt, he has proved he's as good as there is around
I really admire Burnley as a football club, certainly a club we should look to model

Thing is, with their success at comfortably staying in the PL since promoted with Boro, their success could come back & bite them, as new future investors may want to get a bigger, more high profile manager, which could signal of the end of their continuous PL reign & sadly, the last we'll see of Dyche

West Brom v Fulham on BBC One right now.

I think it's curtains for West Brom if they lose this one.
