Brazil & Germany

Strange results today. Both beaten in friendlies.

Brazil beaten 4-2 by Senegal, the team we thrashed in the World Cup. Apparently Ancelotti is about to take over them, he’s got a difficult job on his hands.

Germany beaten 2-0 by Columbia, given they haven’t got many competitive games between now and the Euros next summer, you’d think they’d be wanting to make the most of these friendlies.

And some England fans complain when we win 4-0 and 7-0.

TBF, England fans won't stop complaining til we win something. And then they'll be hungry for more as well.

Yeh, they've been poor for quite a while now. Flick has the 2nd worst record as a manager in their history. They haven't been a good team since they won the world cup though. The players they have now are nowhere near as good as the ones that have retired.

Also doesn't help they don't really have a striker. Havertz usually plays there but he's not a striker no matter how many times they or Chelsea play him as one. Funny thing international football. You get what you are given and if you don't have the players then what do you do?

No doubt they'll be back and challenging for trophies before long.

Brazil have some top talent, but just don't seem to have the right balance at the moment.

Germany have been pretty poor for a while now, but they'll be back. It's a shame Musiala choose Germany over us, he'd slot it perfectly to our young side.

In Germany's last 10 matches, they've won 2, drawn 3 and lost 5. That stretches back before the world cup

They're not so much in transition as in crisis. Ranked 14thbin the world and likely to fall further following back to back defeats this week
Wow, had no idea they were on a run as bad as that.

Odd results but I wouldn’t read much into international results at this time of year. It’s ridiculous scheduling, two weeks after the European season has ended. The players should be - and probably are, mentally and physically - on holiday.

Brazil can't seem to get the balance correct.

They have some fabulous individual players, especially attacking wise, but they don't know how to play as a team.

As for Germany, they're fast becoming a laughing stock.

I wonder if Musiala is regretting his decision to play for Germany. He's incredible, and yet that team is terrible.

How they rely on Havertz as their #9 is incredible. Their lack of striking options are there to see as well. Fulkrug, Werner, Hazertz - all these aren't good enough.

Personally, I think they need to just chuck Moukolo/Adeyemi in and build the team around one of them as their striker.
