This series was heading in this direction the moment they decided to go ahead with it. Ill prepared anyway the side have been struggling to find openers of a Test standard since Cook retired to at least give the Australian bowlers something to think about.

Burns technique is fundamentally flawed. Hameed simply you target on or just outside off stump and you will get him eventually. He hasn’t got the patience required. Crawley hasn’t proved himself. He has a test average of 28.
 
Haven't got BT so only seen a brief glimpse of news coverage, but we are very very unlikely to regain the Ashes now so it's virtually over.
We can try the youngsters out (if we have any) and look at a new skipper because Rooty will not survive another Ashes hammering.
 
Root and Malan were batting well just before lunch and then Cummins took Malan's wicket four balls before lunch. Once again Root's got in and not made more of it.
 
I can forgive and understand getting out to decent balls
But cannot understand their stupidity in the shot selection.
Baffles me why they keep doing it time and again.

They should be absolutely pilliored but the cricketing journos all pee in the same pot so they won't be.
 
Buggers have managed to ruin one of my favourite things.....Boxing Day Test at 'The G'.....even try to watch when it's Australia v Sri Lanka!
