Does anybody know if bowling greens are open and if so are there any public bowling greens in the Teesside area, where you can also hire the bowls from for a game, wanted to take my elderly dad for a game, cheers,...

Hi. You could try Albert Park for a start. I think Pallister Park may also be an option.

I noticed the green in Ropner was closed on Sunday while walking around there, the tennis courts were open so can't be far away now.

What an impressive park though.

Local Clubs are playing within the club itself, no competitive games other than internal. I live away from the Boro now but I'm sure if you explained to an individual member you'd get some help. The problem is, being bowls, a lot of members are vulnerable and so the rules on contact and social distancing are a bit stiff . Good luck

My local club is allowing members to practice alone or to "have a roll up with one other person". These sessions have to be booked by members only and the clubhouse is closed and out of bounds.

No competitive games are to played and this almost certainly applies to all this season which closes in September.
