Boro's best Championship 11

Downing was generally shyte for us in the championship and Johnson was probably the best player in the championship that half season.

I’d also go Clayton with Hackney as they’d be a better 2

I’d go with the original line up other than those.

Something to think about it and have some fun. What is Boro's best starting 11 to play in the Championship with Boro?

Some basic rules:
The Football League Championship was rebranded in 2004 so any player from then.
Only 1 loan player allowed in starting 11.
Can include players who were relegated with the Boro and then jumped ship after a few champ games.

It's just a bit of fun and some nostalgia.
You are just like Sky you. They think the world only started with the Premier League and you are doing it now with the Championship. 😉🤣

Nsue - Just for his song.
Surprised he's not mentioned more actually.

This maybe a slightly controversial take but I think N'sue was better in the promotion season than Brittain has been this season. I love Brittain, think he's been very good, particularly first half of the season.

But N'sue was fantastic that season. Scored 3, great understanding with Albert on the right, sensible defending (AK wouldn't have stood for anything less) and looked up before playing a final ball as opposed to just smashing it into the area.

Nsue was surprisingly good, but he isn’t Brittain levels of good

Probably suffered from never having a defined position.

Yes, we mostly think of him as RB, but quite late in the season (the Forshaw Reading match) he was starting games in midfield. He scored the first in that match.

The of course he's centre forward in international football

I liked him but he was a bits and pieces merchant. Sammy would be the current comparison
