Boro Walkers charity have been actively raising money for Teesside good causes for several years now - they signed my friends and me up this month to take part in a Staircasemountaineering challenge to fundraise for the MFC Foundation and their other local charities, facing difficult times during lockdown.
Here we found out a little about the Boro Walkers and how this latest home mountaineering appeal came about http://bit.ly/3qZWJCh

My final 88 stair ascents beginning now for Boro Walkers and MFC Foundation Climb Any Mountain challenge.
I will soon be sitting at the top of (the twin peaks) of Kilimanjaro. I wonder if I will be able to see the Riverdide, the Navi nd the Black Path from there.
Thank you for your support this month. #staircasemountaineering

Climbed 19 340 feet. 88 (13 step) staircase ascents x 28 during February.
Was a simple idea but just shows you can keep fit in your house and raise money for charity at the same time.

When I do my Everest virtual climb I will cover over the top two stairs with ice so it replicates the Khumbu Glacier.
