Boro vs Reading Match Thread

all over - well not too dissapointed. It was a really hard fought game. Lack of creativity but hopefully Roberts will add that.

Decent point, we looked good defensively but Reading didn't really do much and I don't think they'll be a top 6 side in a few months.

First time we haven't beaten Reading in an age.

0-0, that's a good point against a decent team, with a deeper squad than us, and they are really confident and on form.

We defended superbly, great concentration, and had a few moments where we almost created the opportunity but didn't quite happen.

I would have taken a point before kick off, and I'm not disappointed after.

I would also say we clearly have a few players that we can build a solid team around Fry looks back to his best, Dijksteel is superb, and McNair is looking class. Morsy plays that holding role well, but offers more moving forward than Clayton ever did. Tav was a danger and is 3% away from being a top player at this level. Akpom put a proper shift in also.

Thought Johnson was good when he came on. Think Tav could do with seeing what he did and trying to emulate it - i.e. take one player on and then quickly get a ball in to the box. Tav doesn't really seem like he has an objective in mind when he's on the ball.

Can you give me 1 example where Tav looked a danger? Serious question.

He plays wide and never put a single cross in at all. Didn't have a single shot on goal at all.
