Boro vs Forest Match thread

Didn't see the game but it sounds like they are trying.
I think it is a mixture of application, poor tactics & just not good enough. I have a feeling that we will be just short of safety this season, but think it will go down to the wire.

Gestede did **** all apart from score, Howson dog turd but like has happened so many times this season we can take 'heart' from the performance.

Why are we so utterly sh1t at defending when woodgate should be able to organise a defence

If games lasted 76 minutes we’d have 14 points more than we do, that tells you where the problem lies, fitness, leadership and the inability to close out games.

Coulson is class by the way. Really exciting talent this lad.
Likely to be subject of decent transfer bids in the summer unfortunately. Pacey and direct, exactly what the modern wide midfielder or wingback role requires.
If we do go down it'll be even harder to keep him.

Should have used more subs before they equalised...poor game mansgement. How many points have we chucked away last five minutes this season..probably difference between staying up and going down.

We put in a better performance than I thought we would but were still lucky to hold on for a point at the end. Agree that Mcnair was awful, terrible passing. Coulson was excellent on the right. Gestede was as poor as as we knew he would be, how he didn't go for goal with that effort is beyond me.

Don’t want to see McNair start again this season. He’s been F***ing dreadful for ages now.
Is McNair the softest player we have? Someone looks at him and he waves his hand for a foul, utterly dreadful. He could have got his foot on the ball for their 2nd...tool

We’re soft, we have young talent but the nature of youth is inconsistency and we need leadership from our experienced players, they have not stepped up to the plate.

Utterly terrible game management from our plank of a manager.

We were dropping deeper and deeper from an hour in. They made 3 changes before we did anything.

Spence would have been very useful tonight as an outlet for the defence to relieve pressure. We had one outlet yet again and it was Coulson.

Eventually we caved under pressure as expected.

He really is a terrible manager.

Have we shown enough tonight to show you we will survive?

Potentially, but it will be tight. Survival should have been the absolute minimum this season. We’re god awful in the final third. When we do get ahead in games we’re hamstrung by the dunce in the dugout.

Far too late with the subs. They put fresh legs on and were overrunning us before JW reacted. It was too late by then the momentum had shifted to them

I thought we had a bit of fire in us tonight that we were dreadfully lacking in previous weeks. Also we were throwing greater numbers forward at times which I have seen a lot of before. What worries me is that to me we played the best in a while, yet still couldn't win the game. Thats the worry for me.

I agree we saw more of a spark and got numbers forward better tonight.

Second half especially it was frustrating how little quality we had in the final third.
