Would have been at Green Lane tomorrow but Redcar Athletic ( top of the league) game v West Allotment Celtic postponed, West about to go under sadly.
 
Gonna be a first game at Phoenix Park for me this season, after work commitments aligned accordingly. Looking forward to seeing top quality grassroots football for a reasonable price.

They nicked too many young players from Billy Town 😄

They're actually doing ok, started well but drifted a bit. It's not easy kicking off from scratch.

I've been up to West to watch games and wondered how they were in the top flight with so few in regular attendance. As usual it was coming from one source in the form of sponsorship. Once that disappears so do the players.

Add to that the ageing committee with no younger blood willing to commit and you have a football club with nobody to run it. The same thing happened at Ryhope CW three years back.
