Boro fans in Greenwich

You talking about Greenwich or north Greenwich?

MSS have recommended the lost hour a few mins walk from Greenwich station or the gate house (spoons) less than a 10 mins walk from Greenwich station but next door to the cutty Sark dlr station. I'd give the spoons a miss. The lost hour is ok.

There's not a shortage of pubs in the Greenwich and as it's that bit further away from the ground there will be no problem getting in. As it's quite touristy the pubs are expensive.

My favourite is probably the Greenwich union on royal hill (a meantime pub with a great selection of beers) it's less than a 10 min walk to the station. You then have a number of pubs around the market (the gipsy moth is probably the pick of these) and slightly more upmarket chain restaurants, honest burger, Franca manca etc. The old brewery next to the the cutty Sark is worth a visit if the sun is shining and you can sit in very nice beer garden. You have the sail loft and oyster catcher on the river - newish Youngs type gastro pubs. Further up the river you have the trafalgar tavern. The cutty Sark is an excellent pub if you can find it - a further 10 min walk up the river.

North Greenwich I don't know so well but you will have all the chain type places you'd expect to find in the O2.

The Angerstein Hotel is 10 mins (depending on traffic) on the bus from the centre of Greenwich.

If you're going up that way the main meantime brewery is just around the corner. The taproom should be open.
