We've been unbelievably good since Carrick came in, 1 game we don't turn up, have an off day and you'd honestly think we were 22nd all over again.

'Where's jones' dropped because he hasn't been good enough
'Steffens awful' no he's a bloody good keeper
'Smith to slow' he's been excellent for 2 months straught'
Forss needs dropping' - got 4 goals in 5 games before today
'Crooks isn't a striker' - he's been bang in form in that position'

Honestly our fans that laud these decisions one minute, turn after one bad result.

Give over, accept we were second best and move on

Today was always going to be a really tough test for us. Despite their constant protestations that it isn't a derby their fans certainly treated it like one, and will have acted as a twelth man for the team.

We just need to dust oursleves down from this one and move on quickly, just as we did following the defeat to Burnley.

Spot on.
We were down and out before Carrick came in. Some serious perspective needed.

Jones wouldnt have made a jot of difference today we were second best from the off they should have been 3-0 up at half time and home and dry

Not quite sure why the people around me were chanting we had barro thought they played their football in Cumbria :ROFLMAO:

No noise from their lot until they were infront .. i bet they dont chant tony mowbrays red n white army (we hate barro) when they play other teams

I think today was maybe a little bit of a reality check; we've been fantastic under Carrick so far, but the league is very very tight and whilst I still think we will finish in the top six (and that we have a team good enough to do so), I also think the other team that will do so have better squads than us.

Sunderland are a decent team and won't be far away under Mogga either.

People moaning about people moaning.......gets me proper narked.......😉

Bad day at the office. Very poor performance start to finish, all departments. No one particularly bad, certainly no good performances. Lethargic, second best, sad to say mackems fully deserved the win.

Penalty/sending off - win some lose some. Times like these Carrick will have to show what a good manager he is - starting with Watford.

Line drawn, sh*t happens, onwards and upwards 👍

The ref changed the game completely today because 5/10 referees would’ve waved that tussle away today and so one rash and extremely dubious decision by a ref changed everything

I'll never watch Boro again.

We're the worst team that's ever tried to play footballs. Especially that player tried to did that football thing today.

The thing is we have got to turn up for Wembley can't have another Burnley or today day and it's Sunderland. If the players aren't up for this when will they be up for the battle to win a game. We should of scored 3 in the first half and the red card wouldn't of mattered
