Reading the replies to the official Boro account’s tweet for this news and there are some very strange Chelsea fans in the comments acting like this is an attempt to goad their club. Some really petty responses. I can’t help but notice that 99% of them are from countries thousands of miles away, probably never watched a game live and have zero connection to the club.

Absolute respect to Gibbo. Looking at Chelsea Forums they seem not to get the fact that their success is built on the wealth of a man that stoleit from the Russian people. Praying we beat them harder than I would pray for a victory over Sunderland, the Geordies and Leeds combined.

I've read about 200 twiterr comments on it. The only fans leaving negative comments are Chelsea saying we are only doing it to make them look bad or wind them up.

A lot of the comments on Twitter betray the self-entitled nature of some of the Chelsea fans. It's not about them, as much as they'd like it to be.
The die was cast against them when they tried to get the game played behind closed doors and whined about getting here. If they want to make it about them then they need to realise that they are making a conscious decision to align themselves with a Putin ally. It'd be a far better look to wholeheartedly back the Boro and their actions and not try and make out that the football world is against them.
