Boro charged with breach of conduct

That's just adding insult to injury. Until the FA understand and accept that the officials THEY provide are sub-standard, then what makes them think that clubs and players should act perfectly? When they acknowledge the issues caused by sub-standard refereeing and do something about it, then they can rightly expect players and staff to act professionally - until then, and while ridiculous decisions like the ones in the Swansea game are commonplace, those involved in the game will continue to call out the ineptitude fo the officials.

I've said all this before but how do you get better referees? Sack the ones who make mistakes?
Something certainly has to be done to improve them as it's a farce as things stand; technology isn't the answer as the VAR is usually worse than the idiot on the pitch so I'm at a loss. Maybe bring some in from abroad, it helped the standard of players in England, perhaps could work for refs as well?

Just thought of one, performance related pay, make no errors in a game and get twice the normal fee then go down on a sliding scale.

VAR would help if it was used correctly. We can’t just carry on how we are. What on earth is the 4th official for? How can rugby get it right and football with all the money that is thrown at the game get it so wrong?

The F.A. -

Don’t like the incompetence of our referees, which costs your business money and frequently undermine the hard work you put in to succeed? TOUGH!

Wanna complain about it??
Here you go - have a fine! Know your place, plebs.

They’re like the gestapo or some 1960s East European dictatorship . Cross them even a wee bit and hell hath no fury

The referee after the Stoke match must of ran to their door sobbing and bleating ” that howible man shouted at me “ bwah bwah 😭

The ref hade a shocker. The gaffer rightly goes crazy and no doubt gets fined.

I don't have any issue with this. Its nice to see a manager lose the plot over absolute shambolic officials. We lost a game and a player out for the season. He's cost us.

The 'funny thing' is that Fry nearly had his eye taken out and no action was every taken post match. What's worse? Saying an official is an idiot or nearly blinding someone?

I think this is more about NW suggesting that Coopers dad had .. influence ... to be fair, tongue in cheek or not, you can probably see why the FA would get prickly about such things and while he was right complaining about the ref you can probably understand the FAs reaction

The behaviour of many footballers and managers is reprehensible. It's been allowed to get that way because referees are neither encouraged to clamp down on it nor supported if they do. Warnock is a particularly egregious offender. You wouldn't tolerate his sort of behaviour from a 5-year-old.

faceless FA covering their backs yet again. Instead of coming out and admitting some of their officials are just not good enough, they divert the attention onto the club whose staff/players vent their feelings against one of the most inept refereeing performances seen.
I actually thought our players were quite restrained given the circumstances , and perhaps if managers were allowed to meet officials post match to discuss issues then pitch side confrontations may be avoided.
FA won’t allow that though, truth hurts!!
