There is a Boro Community Champions Tidy Up in North Ormesby 10am (to 11am) this morning and all are invited.
The litter pick in North Ormesby will cover the area from Esk Play Park to Henry Street Play Park.
Community Champions, Middlesbrough, AKA "Boro Champs” are an ever-growing group of volunteers who strive to make the Town a cleaner, greener space. They meet regularly, in all weathers, to litter pick across the Town, cleaning up the environment, giving people a sense of pride and well-being. Group activities have also included the planting of young trees and shrubs, re-planting unkempt planters, painting fences and street furniture and tidying gardens for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Boro Champs are a lifeline to a lot of people. Some come along to work, others for company, friendship or mental well-being but, without exception, laughter and a sense of togetherness.
All new volunteers are very welcome. Equipment provided. Refreshments provided after 1 hour litter picking. Family activity.
