Boro being mentioned in other games on TV.

Is it just me or do boro seem to get some sort of shoutout by the commentary in nearly every game that is on TV? Even in big games I will always hear us get a mention.

I could be paying absolutely zero attention to a game that's on the TV, scrolling aimlessly through my phone, but as soon as I hear them reference us, I perk up straight away haha.

It's normally some sort of "6 degrees of separation" link to us though, not something obvious like 'Middlesbrough won here last week".
Happens in Champions League games, Europa League, Premier League and others.

I agree. Was watching sky sports earlier n it was showing the Bradford v Swansea cup final years ago. It showed Andrew Davies then mentioned us!

It was but before it was more in the past tense Juninho Robeson era etc, whereas now it’s more about the now and the future.

I haven't noticed this but I did notice how the commentators on the EFL show were talking about us on Saturday night.
The commentary was full of gushing phrases like:-

Was there ever any doubt.

Middlesbrough at their very best.

Middlesbrough are setting traps for Preston all over the pitch.

People are certainly starting to notice our style. It is like watching Arsenal though.
