That was some weekend. I will always remember it👍

I actually got sacked from my poxy part time job to attend the game. I worked Saturdays and Sundays at a local garden centre. I think I was on about £10 for a day (I actually usually got paid in whatever change he had in his pocket)

It was such a big game I had to attend. I asked for it off a couple of weeks in advance. He give me a simple 'if you don't come in the don't bother coming back'. I sacked it off and went to the game. I never saw the guy again for about 6 months. I remember bumping into him in Morrisons and saying 'take it I'm sacked?'.... He just waked off and didn't appreciate the bantz😂

I also remember the invasion of Leeds fans at Bournemouth that day. Didn't they take 20k or something? They were all sleeping on the beach and causing chaos.
 
just watched that youtube link what a game, you can hear the atmosphere bouncing Ian Baird in the corner with the donkey ears , just brilliant. Well done for posting hadn't seen the footage of Newcastle fans leaving at sid james park before.

I think there might have been but it too failed in fairly short order and was replaced by the 'MFC disc'. I've watched the video of the match (yeah, I know, don't.........) and it's the disc in 1990.

Got told off by my boss for wasting time. She is busy sorting out Christmas presents for the grandkids if Johnson gives us a window of opportunity to visit sometime in December. Wasn't happy when I said that ain't gonna happen

We didn't go to this game - I was 10 year old at the time - my dad decided he couldn't handle the pressure, and I think he was expecting to see us relegated by Newcastle. He was gutted by his decision i think, i was too but tried not to show it.
