Boris speech

Felt quite emotional watching him speak like that. Fantastic tribute to the nhs.

First time I felt like I connected with a Tory.

Effing diversionary tactics yet again. The man is a horrible liar. He is also a malignant narcissist. However I am pleased he is getting better.
Totally disagree. I think the first thing he should do is pay tribute to those who save his life. Like billy says actually came across authentic.

I agree with bear, let’s hope he’s learnt something which I think he has.

He has never learned anything about others before. Why should he start now? It has been me, me, me. It aways will be me, me, me for him.

After seeing him today does anybody seriously believe that he had his life 'saved' within the last week?

Does he look like he needed to have 3 nights in ICU?

As he commences his rehabilitation in a 16th Century mansion in Buckinghamshire.

Sorry but I can’t trust this man or feel he has any sincerity about anything he does or says - he was quite happy to have an affair whilst his wife was having treatment for cancer, that tells me everything I need to know about the morals of this fella. He’s had what sounds like round the clock top class care whilst there are people sat at home hoping they can beat covid 19 on there own - some of these people won’t, they’ll die at home or soon after they leave it. The 29 year old nurse last week is one example of this. In short I would trust Boris Johnson about as far as I could chuck him, an that isn’t very far believe me

I think the agenda has moved on now from Johnson’s bout of Covid 19, it’s very much last weeks news and it’s good that he has survived to face the consequences of his party’s actions on the NHS and the virus.

Tintin has gone and the deaths are going up, he won’t be able to talk about surviving for much longer when thousands of others including hospital staff are not so lucky.

The focus, rightly, will shift to what he and his Tory government is doing to give the people of this country some hope for the future, and we need actions not just the words of an ex journalist.

Didn't he pay a thug to beat up a journalist who wrote a story about him that he didn't like?

"Why should he start now? "

Because, unless you're one of the conspiracy theorists that doesn't think he's actually had the virus, this will be the first time he's actually had to rely on the NHS.

I'm no fan of his politics, but this seems genuine to me - we'll see - I'm not going to dismiss it out of hand though

No, his friend Darius Guppy contacted Johnson for the reporters address with the intention of paying some people to beat him up. Johnson said he would get it, but the assault didn’t happen in the end.

I feel you are being too generous in nature.

I would not trust him as far as I could throw him.

He has spent his whole life lying and putting himself first. I cannot see this event (if it happened) changing his attitude in any way.

I don’t think it will make any difference to how he goes on, he is happy to align himself with the NHS just now because overwhelming public opinion is that the NHS are doing a fantastic job (which they are). So our old chum Brexit Boris is now the NHS biggest fan, oh and they saved his life, so he’s a great guy and we all love him.

But why would the most powerful man in the country use an NHS hospital and not a private hospital?
