Poor lad...
Extract:
BORIS Johnson is “always worried about money” despite earning £150,000 a year as Prime Minister, according to new reports.
The Times spoke to friends and colleagues of the Tory leader who say he currently seems “subdued” in his role.

Misery
One senior Conservative, who meets with Johnson regularly, told the newspaper you can see “misery etched on his face” in public appearances.
Those in contact with the PM say he is struggling with certain elements of the job during the pandemic. In a personal capacity, they say he is worried and complaining about money.
The sources say Johnson is still supporting four of his six children and has been through an expensive divorce – he also saw his income drop by more than 50% when he became PM.

Cant Afford a Nanny
A friend told the newspaper: “Boris, like other prime ministers, is very, very badly served.
“He doesn’t have a housekeeper — he has a single cleaner and they’re worried about being able to afford a nanny.

Rose Garden only accessible through the Office
“He’s stuck in the flat and Downing Street is not a nice place to live. It’s not like the Élysée or the White House where you can get away from it all because they’re so big. Even if he or Carrie want to go into the rose garden they have to go through the office.”

Apparently he is worth 6M...but when you have friends in high places...

Poor old Johnson.... only got the one cleaner ☹️
AND he can’t afford a nanny on his 150 k salary.
Is his current squeeze working full time now?
Anyway, let’s cut him some slack because he’s feeling a bit down....

Mind you, I’d feel pretty miserable too, if I finally got the cash cow job lording it up over the peasants, that I had spent decades wholeheartedly believing I deserved and then found out I was utterly, desperately, hopelessly **** at it.

He's the Prime Minister of the country and gets paid less than this bell-end.

The position of UK Prime Minister is probably the worst paid of any world leader. Regardless of whether you like Johnson or not the salary should be reflective of the position.

And there it goes, first whataboutery of the thread and predictably by one of the usual defenders of all things Tory.

If it was reflective of Boris Johnson's position as PM then he should on minimum wage.

The position of PM should be seen as a vocation as opposed to a money making exercise.
Comparisons with figures in the entertainment industry are ridiculous but I suspect you know that anyway and this is just a deflection tactic.

If he can't afford kids, he should stop having them. That's the Tory mantra, right? He's already got a house paid for by the taxpayer, and a stay-at-home partner who really should be back at work. It's nearly 6 months since she had the child. He should stop moaning and start thinking and working. And all this Covid-19, 'still suffering the long tail of the disease'. Please. Work-shy now he's seen a life on benefits. When my grandad had his leg blown off at Dunkirk, he still managed to help build the ICI tower. He'd be hopping mad at this, etc.

I was always quite shocked years and years ago at how little The leader of the country earns. I think it was Blair or someone who was earning around the 100k mark and it struck me as relatively low compared to a lot of jobs in the city, footballers and so on. For some reason I’d always imagined as the PM you would be on a huge salary.

It is by no means the worst paid head of government. Based on salaray/GDP/per head of capita, it's the 6th highest in the EU.
