Boris Johnson cycle ride

That bike is illegal. It's an offence to ride a bicycle on a public road without two efficient braking systems, operating independently on the front and rear wheel.
It might be a "fixi" - with a single cog on the rear which engages when pedaled backwards?

A scotch egg was a substantial meal as was a plate of chips as places menus had to be approved to open and you're right you will have people who will push the boundaries and or totally ignore the guidelines but that doesn't mean that where possible a lot of the ambiguity.

A simple instruction that exercise must start and end at home or a person's place of work is clear and leaves no room for interpretation, or if they define local as within a 10 minute drive of the above. The fact they have allowed people to fish further muddies the water of
Your allowed to drive to exercise
Are you I didn’t realise that - I assumed you could just run or cycle from your home.

England needs a clear rule, like Scotland. Both Hancock and Cressida d*ck were on the radio this morning mouthing off and threatening people for not staying 'local', but were unable and willing to define local.

Can I ask some advice.

I`ve never used Zwift or other online facilities.
Do I need a heart-rate monitor and other tech?
The "tacx focus s" has built in sensor and software. The Garmin allows me to use GPS out on the road and indoors it has "indoor" and "training" options, including resistance settings etc.
I usually choose one of the online training videos - yesterday it was a 2 hour enduro ride - and have established benchmarks [eg min 24 km over an hour intervals].
Any thoughts?

I've got the Flux and I use it with a HR monitor and Zwift.

I'd think if you are using their videos and training to power you won't have to worry about HR too much. TBH Roofie, as long as you are enjoying it that's the main thing. Gains to fitness and losses to weight will come!

When I started indoor in March / April - with lock down an that - I`ve completed approximately 7000 km since then.

Looks like the Police are saying Redcar and Saltburn are out of the question if not a resident, Councellor Thompson chipping in as well, asking COVID marshalls to take car reg numbers and pass them onto the Police, so no going to the beach or stray to exercise the dog then.........

Just out of interest. Where did you see that news/info ?

As Marina Hyde (?) said in the Guardian, the real crime was not him cycling 7 miles away from Downing Street, but cycling 7 miles back again

But there is no law or legislation to allow them to do anything? Those areas are 'local' to quite a few non-residents?
