Border controls, a stark and unforgivable contrast

That's a brilliantly succinct summary. The Government promised to take control of our borders - and in so doing, managed to act in a way that directly led to the deaths of over 130,000 people.

The rhetoric around migrants and refugees from the Conservative Party, at the expense of controlling the far more damaging influx of Covid ought to shame Johnson, Patel etc to the point that they walk away from their jobs. Obviously they wont though.

I wonder, how many weddings have the migrants that have crossed the Channel caused to be cancelled? How many families who couldnt say goodbye to their loved ones will be able to blame those who arrived on dinghies? How many of the hundreds of thousands who have lost their jobs will reflect that refugees and migrants caused that?

How many deaths have been caused by those crossing the Channel in dinghies? And how many have been caused by those who simply walked in, infected, through any of our dozens of international airports - because Johnson and Patel were so focused on Dover and Calais?

Shame on them, all.
