Booing at HT

Booing the opposition and poor ref decisions is alright. It's pretty constructive on here today following a defeat, which I find cheering

No booing from me last night, i showed my displeasure by walking out at ht. Pathetic first half display swayed me to drive back to the office to finish some tender docs rather than stay.

Was certainly effing and blinding during the match, but I'll only really boo a referee or opposition player.

Can't say it was unwarranted in that first half though.

I thought it was a really strange night overall. The little things like not playing pigbag, the announcer just seemed to be a little downbeat - I understand with whats happening currently, but howay, it's a football match and we need to do everything we can to lift the team and the supporters. From my seat in the south, with them getting an early goal, I just seemed to sense a little toxicity from some, it was a really weird atmosphere. There was definitely a lot more what seemed like day trippers around me too, either absolutely mortal or just moaned from the off.

I wouldn't boo but have no issue with those that do, but like I said, it was really strange because other games where we have gone behind or even just playing badly, the support has really got behind the team to a point where it has been really noticeable. An odd, odd feeling, almost to me (at half time anwyay), like the Mogga Barnsley away game. Some might disagree but that was my personal take on it.

I won't boo but they certainly deserved what they got.
Terrible half of football, abysmal, shocking, words can't really describe how bad we were.

I had the exact same thoughts.

Going from a really bouncing atmosphere against Sunderland last week to what happened last night pre-kick off was really strange.

The stadium was very flat and the early goal didn't help at all.

The one positive is the chrissy wilder said song (im sorry but id rather we sang other stuff to get behind the lads) went well out the window .. back to the traditional 'Come on Boro'

The Holgate rarely booed...that was the Chicken run and the North Stand.

The Holgate would give a rendition of "What a load of rubbish", or oftimes "We're sick of fckking losing"

This was my point though. How can we say it wasn’t helpful when they came out and won the second half. Maybe it actually WAS helpful?
Maybe we'd have improved so much that we'd gotten a point from the game if it wasn't for the booing?😛

I’ve never booed The Boro, and never will 👍🏻
The OP didn’t actually ask who boos or who doesn’t boo. But I’m glad you felt the need to tell us 👍🏼

The point was that they were booed off at half time and came out and won the second half; so does that mean that the boos had the desired effect.

I think the second half performance was more that Wilder picked the team that should have started the match, well should have been picked to start 4 matches ago but it took until we were 3-0 down at home to stop persisting with such negative 3-5-1 tactics.
