Blunders by Boro managers' and Chairmen you still haven't gotten over

Home game under Southgate in Premier league relegation season, relegation 6 pointer at home to Blackburn in November and we played 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders, game finished nil each and said to our dad after the game we are 100 % getting relegated this season, it was clear as day even in November.

Appointing Garry Monk.

I didn't understand it at the time, it's even worse with hindsight.

Poaching a manager who'd won one game in the final 8 to fail to make the play-offs with Leeds.

They were 8 points clear of 7th with 8 games to go, virtually nailed on to get in, and they somehow finished 5 points outside of the play-offs.
Why would you look at that and think he's the way to go for a promotion charge?

We had a golden opportunity to bounce straight back up, and it was wasted on a charlatan.

That's before you get in to how he ****ed us over for years with transfers.

The 3 Man Utd penalties in the 2006/07 season.

The first one in the league, Ronaldo diving clear over Schwarzer yet the sky commentators pretending not to see that. The arrogance of Ferguson afterwards as well. I can't even remember what he said now but it was something condescending about Southgate as maanager.

Then the first one in the cup. Boateng stopping the ball hitting him plum in the face. What a stupid rule, hows that refs protecting players? Thats the one that jars most. I think because secretly I've always had a conflicting feeling of "come on George, just let the ball hit you in the face and we're going to Wembley".

Then the third one in the replay. Or second leg? I don't remember. Woodgate pulling out of the tackle but them getting it anyway.

It always grates me that we gave away Cattermole and Morrison for peanuts and replaced them with Digard and O'Neill who more cost money and were useless 🤦🏻‍♂️

I honestly think we'd have stayed up keeping them, more awful dealings by Southgate. That season ruined us after being established in the Premier League, awful business like this contributed massively to our downfall. Why replace quality youth players that cared with spineless players with no loyalty and no ability.

The two for me was the January transfer window under Karanka, focusing on three players that were never going to come and signing some absolute donkeys instead. All we needed was somebody to supply negredo, instead we got Gestede and Geudioura.

Second is from the same season, replacing Karanka with Agnew. I remember Guus Hiddink being mentioned as a real possibility until the end of the season because of his link to Peter Kenyon. Instead we have the job to Agnew and we got even worse.
