Blackpool fan killed Saturday

Utter morons. The lad probably just loved watching his local side!

I played football Saturday and the assistant manager from the opposition came onto the pitch and threatened one of my players, followed by the linesman who ran 50 yards to punch him. My lad kick the living bells out of the lino and the game was abandoned...... the league are taking no action against either the linesman nor the assistant manager!

Its a football match and people are wielding punches around...... seriously pathetic.
Where the hell did that happen? Pretty awful and surely could have been prevented? It's a footy match, not Bakhmut

Unbelievably sad that a fan loses his precious life because of a football game. Sadly all clubs, ours included, have people who use a football match as a cover to unleash their personal desire to be violent and threatening to others. It is awful when you go to a game you have to hope you can avoid these kind of people. No idea of the background here but at the moment for me the only important fact is someone has died. RIP fella

More details emerging that the pub was an away fans designated pub and a group of Blackpool fans went there looking for trouble, and found it.
The Manchester is a designated away pub. We where all in there our away game last season.

Its still on twitter surprised it hasnt been taken down

Certainly doesnt appear to be an isolated incident as already mentioned
