Blackpool away tickets

Out of interest I just rang the ticket office. The lady in there said they don’t have anything to do with starting points and has no idea it is 140 when qpr was 170?
She was bemused when I said we could probably shift 5-6000 tickets for this game and said that more will be available IF the first lot sell out 😂

They really haven't got a clue have they? (not for the first time), should have been at least 180.
Why not ask Blackpool for the full allocation straight away, then put ALL blocks on sale at the same time .
It'll probably crash with only 1800.
The other thing I'll never understand is you can get points for home games, cant imagine any other club doing that, it's about getting tickets for away games surely?

Exactly.

Say we eventually get 3,000 tickets.

How many season ticket holders do we have with 2+ years in? I’d say at least four times that amount.

Yes not all of those people will want to go, but I bet there’s a lot of people who aren’t season card holders begging and borrowing tickets for this.

I’ve had 2 texts since the announcement asking if I’m going, I am and they can get lost. But demand is going to outstrip supply for this one, to set it at 140 points is an insult to the people who go home and away.
I’d say over 14000 2 year + season cards.
I’m in the boat with many others who have over 50 points higher than the starting point 😔

It's still very early in the season. Typical priority point levels are much lower than at the end of last season because our totals only include one-and-a-tiny-bit seasons of away games, cup games and walk-ups.

Feel free to chuck this quote back at me next week, but for once I'm sure the club know what they're doing.

I'm afraid in this instance they have clearly demonstrated they don't know what they are doing.

I think they started at 170 for qpr.
I don’t chucking the quote back at you mate. The club have ****ed up

The club have definitely screwed up on this one.

We just have to hope we get a lot more than 1,800 tickets, otherwise I feel there's going to be a few supporters with high priority points who will miss out.

Should definitely have been 160+ as a minimum

It is fans that have asked for points for home games and that their loyalty is rewarded.

It says initial allocation but we don’t know what the full allocation will be, will the police stop us getting the full 3,000?

140 point starting point is criminally underestimating the initial surge for this fixture with only 1,800 tickets, didn’t we take that many to Stoke last night?

This is Blackpool 3pm on a Saturday
We sold 1281 tickets last night for Boro at Stoke City

I don't remember been asked that.
You are not been rewarded for going to away games in this case - just for having a season ticket for the last 2 years - bonkers
Wonder what figure they'll come up with for the Sunderland away game?

The priority system is a good system and it is tight that you get points for attending home league as well as cup games.

However setting the points at 140 for this game with only 1800 tickets on sale seems an error.

It was 170 for QPR

In response to the ticket office saying they don’t set the points level who does - Chris wilder, Gibson or the tea lady???

190 minimum, maybe even 200+

Knowing the club they’ll make it 140

We probably end up doubling our ticket allocation at least so I think all people over 140pts should end up getting a ticket.

Could it be that we're deliberately receiving a lower allocation because of police advice.

I'm sure it was Rob that said it was Lancashire Constabulary that had consistently prevented Middlesbrough from playing Blackpool on a Saturday afternoon because of previous fan trouble.

140 - you're probably right!
I along with many didn't get one at the SOL in the premier league season as we had no priority in place then.
What annoyed me was it will have been some fans only away game all season.

This is my concern with regards to the next allocation, the police have prevented us playing on a Saturday for years so I can’t see why they would suddenly be happy for us to have 4000-5000 tickets for this one.

3k max I reckon.

You had a lot of teams in the 80s cause mayhem at Blackpool, such as Man City and Sunderland but it seems according to Blackpool fans we were the worst they seen so it could be our allocation doesn't go over the 3300 that they gave us last year.
