They've actually been the better team for some periods of the game. They hit the crossbar first half and should have had a penalty (there were two fouls in the same incident) then Blackburn went up the other end and scored their second. I'd be fuming if i was a Portsmouth fan. 3-0 is no reflection on the balance of the game. We'll have to be on our game to get anything.

Sounds comfortable, but according to a mate at the game (Blackburn fan) it’s completely undeserved. The ref has been shockingly biased. Pompey should have had a penalty and it should have been a red. 1st goal changed the game and was completely against the run of play.

Those are the type of results teams challenging for promotion/playoffs should be getting against the bottom teams.

Goals and decisions change games. Pompey were on top when they should have had a penalty and a man advantage - according to Blackburn fans. The first goal was against the run of play. They took control after that.
We had more shots and more on target against Blackburn on Saturday. Are you saying we deserved to win?

Exactly. How the ref didn't spot the pull back on the centre forward's shoulder when he was about to head into an empty net I'll never know. Not to mention the foul by Pears in the penalty area on the player who supplied the cross.

I wouldn't take to much notice of the result. They are far better at home. That said we are far better away. So somethings gotta give.
I mean I'd rather be playing them at Fratton park on Saturday than the Riverside. The very type(s) of team we struggle against at home. Infact we did but for a 90th min Conway pen.
You'd think them playing tonight should be of some advantage to us. I doubt it. Hopefully we've spent the free week working on how to keep a clean sheet.

The referee thought “if I give Portsmouth this penalty, it might help Boro…” and so, in that moment, in that split second, he decided not to give it.
