Blackburn last night...

Watched them versus Hull and although they huffed and puffed Hull really deserved their win and it could've been more. Seems Diaz is out against us as well and they are coming out of their run of good form so we seem to be playing them at the right time for us...

Feeling more confident after watching that last night...they are no great shakes....

This game @ Blackburn is a 6 pointer. They have 7 points more than us and played one game more.

Based on the Hull game - would you say Blackburn are the same as us or better or worse?

Blackburn have had a fantstic run of results, from getting thrashed at home to Fulham 7-0 to going joint top with Bournemouth, is some going & last 2 results have seen a draw & a defeat, which shows good runs can quickly turn around to bad runs

We are on a great run ourselves, 5 straight wins on the bounce, unbeaten in 8 & could be playing Blackburn at the best possible time for a couple of months

I dont think any team in the championship will look forward to playing us at present

Seem to be a bit of a bogey team last few seasons but they're certainly beatable.

That said, Ayala must be nailed on to score.

Didnt last time we played at our place, though he did have a cracking game, full of talking to & organising his defenders

Every championship game is a battle, we could have easily lost on Saturday. They will be determined to get back to winning ways on Monday.

Assuming they will be weaker because of international calls up is a mistake that hopefully the management and players won’t make.

They have always been a bit of a bogey team for us as long as I can remember.

This could, I repeat, COULD, be our 0-3 Brighton game in the season we went up under Karanka. Wasn't it around this time of the season? Both teams were in good form and at the right end of the table, and we completely smashed Brighton to pieces and they did not lay a single glove on us. With a huge following roaring the boys on, and Diaz missing, we have nothing to fear.

Sure we were the 1st team to beat em that season

I think Blackburns run of good form has been against, on average, lesser teams than we have played in a similarly good run. The only teams Blackburn have played in the top half of the form table in the last 8 games is Preston, Huddersfield and Hull with a win, draw and loss oin those three respectively. Boro have played Huddersfield, Forest and Hull in that same period, winning 2 and loosing 1.

Our only loss was the first match in that 8 game run. Not to say we will win, but I don't think Blackburn are a rival for one of the auto spots.

Laughing - fair enough.
The more I look at the rivals around us I only see Fulham as genuine contenders for the title to stop Boro meaning we have the capability to easily finish 2nd at the very least. Should we keep our run and form rolling onto the Fulham home game, it will be massive. Massive in determining who will be challenging for the No1 spot. Fulham are 12pts ahead. 9pts if we beat them and then it only takes 2 draws or a defeat and a draw where we win and it's truly game on!
Lets focus on Blackburn first ; i'm getting too excited!
