Black Sabbath - Singer of Choice

There's a good story about how Ian Gillan got bladdered, agreed to join Sabbath, and woke up the next day with no recollection of it.
Even he says he was the worst singer Sabbath ever had 🤣

It can only be Ozzy for me.

Although I have a soft spot for Gillan. Me and a friend hitchhiked from Middlesbrough to Reading to watch Gillian lead Sabbath at the Rock Festival. They did Smoke On The Water as an encore, so got a bit of Deep Purple thrown in. That was a great few days.

I'll be honest, I totally forgot about Ian Gillan! 'Born Again' is a pretty poor album all round though, IMO, barring maybe 'Zero the Hero' which Cannibal Corpse covered brilliantly 👍

It's also easy to forget just how good Ozzy's voice was on the first four albums.

Production Manager is Graham from Teesside. Author of Sabbath book and now an artist, he was exhibiting in Maxwell's Corner for 6 months.
He has so many stories and so many lanyards and back stage photos. Worked with Sabbath, the Stones, even Take That.

Messaged someone who is there with what I thought wre stage times but some of those listed were surprise acts who had not been anounced. Probably not happy.

Tool are a very strange band. Technically, excellent, and you can’t fault their music. But strange nonetheless. I guess they let the music do the talking rather than relying on showmanship.
