Bitcoin News Thread

Last from me on the subject - if you want to know what Ripple are up to and how their CEO sees FIAT currencies and Crypto in the future, he Brad Garlinghouse is on 60 Minutes Sunday, Dec. 8

Hoping this spikes XRP to over $3

I don’t know anything about Bitcoin. Have a tiny amount.

Don’t know anything about this fella or economics in general.

But apparently he’s some “hotshot” economist who reckons bitcoin will fail.

I’ve been in Bitcoin for 10 years and seen 50 of these articles the whole time, it now sits at $2 trillion market cap, in 10 years time it will be sat at $10 trillion market cap with someone writing how it’s about to fail….

Yeah I have no idea mate

I just noticed someone tried to have a rational argument with SmallTown.
Definitely a case of being beaten into submission by an idiot with vast experience
Had this whopper on "ignore" for over a year and HE'S still obsessed with me. Got to laugh at the old school intense closers who obsess of people whive forgotten they exist. It's so sad

Another old wealthy guy sitting in his ivory tower who can't see that for the vast majority of people on this planet the current system only creates more poverty.
Which is why they turn to Bitcoin. An asset that can not be devalued by corrupt governments or central banks.
They can not stop it or control it, so they can not stop or control the people using it.

Economists tend to me wrong about just about everything.

Try telling that quote to Keith Lamb!

I'm on the fence on crypto/bitcoin. Have held some alt coins for about 6 years. But I would tend to disagree with this sentiment:

Especially with Trump and Musk in control of American government. Market manipulation is, and will be increasingly rife. Just like with the Trump Coin and Melania Coin on the day he's signed in as president. His next 4 years will largely be a cash grab, maybe even a Bitcoin grab.

I'm no market expert but take more of an interest in it these days due to some investments. Anyway, what I've noticed in the last few weeks is Trump can seemingly make the markets go and down with ease. Mentions tariffs and markets drop, less strong language the next day and they recover. The ups and downs since he has come to power have been quite stark. The cynic would say he's doing this on purpose and making a few quid on the way....

My knowledge on the matter is so insignificant that I can’t give an opinion 👍

I’m interested to see what happens over the coming years / decades however.

Had this exact conversation last week as he went back and forth with the tariffs.
