It’s been creeping in and was just a matter of time unfortunately. It won’t be just that one idiot that gets punished..
 
Certain footballers transcend club loyalties and are respected league wide, for me Billy Sharp is one of those players, to be attacked by a thug after a disappointment like Sharp will have suffered tonight, is mindless and has no place in football, let's hope Forest fans help identify the perpetrator and he suffers a punishment appropriate to his cowardice.

Pitch invasions are a very dangerous place to be. Even if is your own supporters.
If I was a player I would be getting ready to exit the pitch as soon as I saw the whistle in the refs mouth.

Do we have to wait until a player gets seriously injured ?

Its illegal / criminal offence to go on the pitch. Who would want a criminal record for something like that.
I suppose they think - well you cant arrest all of us.

Maybe the Brian Clough solution should be considered
 
Imagine being that thick at his age, looks like a big fat gammon, probably 50+ years old and will be in prison rather than watch his team in the playoff final. We all know the sort, what a loser, had to blindside Sharp because he's that pathetic. This will be his highlight of his life for him because he's achieved nothing, pond scum.
 
disgusting .... hope billy is ok looks like his head went down first as well on the ground .... guy was running at a fair pace and seemed to make a bee line for billy .... hope he is found and charged
 
Terrible to see.

I remember the elation that followed the win again Brighton and the pitch flooding with the red and white shirts, but as good as that day was I’m still in favour of a crackdown on pitch invasions. Celebrate in the stands.

Can remember one of our moron fans running onto the pitch and calling Sidwell a "ginger c*nt".

Poor lad will have have been feeling bad enough and then he has to put up with that. Only takes one idiot to spoil it for the rest, who actually behave themselves.

 
Society is on a downwards trend unfortunately, this is another example of it, complete ban on pitch invasions required, lifetime bans issued etc
Football seems to be heading in the wrong direction fan wise, let's hope the authorities can get a grip on thing's and prevent further deterioration.
It's a wonderful game, let's not let the minority ruin it for the masses.
 
Absolutely shocking, I’d throw the book at Nottingham Forest. The behaviour of football fans is increasingly getting worse. This is probably a watershed moment and I imagine things will be implemented to prevent a repeat and rightfully so.
 
Just seem the footage. What a completely cowardly attack. Sharp wasn't even looking and as he turned his head the big thug headbutts him. It is disgraceful behaviour. The man really should be charged with GBH with intent. There was real malice is what he did.

Definitely a possibility of getting jail time / job loss and ban for life. What a f*cking Doyle. I'm only suprise he's not wearing stone island.

Sky reporting someone has been identified and arrested👏. A 31 year old bloke. I mean it's not even he's a 'kid'.
