Big Problems with Anti-Social Campers

Thr trouble with laws and rules is if nobody is there to enforce them they are useless.
ie dog fouling, speeding, throwing rubbish etc. The police are not able to cope and haven't been able to for some time

These days parts of the Peak District are like a nightmarish combination of TdF stage, IoM TT race and Teesside Park car park on a busy day. I have no problem with visitor numbers increasing, I just wish more of them (it isn't everyone to be fair) would be a bit more considerate in their behaviour. I do however really resent people being generally able to park for free (and some people wherever they like:mad:) when I invariably have to shell out for parking when I go to any towns or cities.

I'd never really noticed how much litter was left by the road side until I started cycling around during the lock down. I live in a rural area and the amount of discarded cans, bottles, masks, McDonalds's wrappers etc is truly shocking. What is worse though, is Fly tipping. people dumping anything from bags of clothes to Fridge freezers. It's truly shocking and a reflection of the f*** it attitude that exists in this country.
I completely agree, but I can also understand the problems that lead to fly tipping. Recently set up a kitchen company and can not believe how hard it is to dispose of rubbish, old doors, cardboard and plastic. I would never fly tip, but it can cost £150 to dispose of a load. It all gets added to the customers invoice but that can make us uncompetitive against the cowboys who wull fly tip.

Just a sign of the times😒

No fecker gives a feck...about anything.

From littering camp sites to throwing rubbish out of car windows. My local tesco is near a KFC and you just see whole meal bags sat in a car parking space. Basically people sit and eat them in tesco car park and open the door and drop litter and drive off. Scruffy c*nts😕

Bins everywhere. They have to walk 5-10 meters at worst. Also don't get me started on folk who abbandon trollies in the middle of the car park when the trolly 'park' is 5ft away.

I genuinely think its lazyness or just 'some one else will sort it' attitude. I've watched groups in McDonald's etc have meals and just walk off leaving the table and area around them like a bomb site. Just clear after yourself....its basic manners.

That and people not picking up dog sh*t to double parking (taking up two spaces). It just seems the norm these days.

I'm probably just old and stuck in my ways. Manners and a bit of thought for other people isn't rocket science 😂

I'm always told I'll have a heart attack when I start ranting over stuff like this. Just the other day I pulled into B&Q and encountered the "island of McDonalds" rubbish which had clearly just been dumped from both driver and passenger side windows.
I honestly think that we're on an inevitable slide to the sort of dystopian future portrayed in numerous forms of fiction. All these little slips in what are simple levels of decency will just compound into more and more erosion of the norms.
Situations like now will bring out the best and the worst in people, but the worst wins out because it requires far less "effort". As people have said, it isn't hard to take your rubbish home or dispose of it properly for example, but even that minimal effort never enters the minds of some people.

The last time I was out litter picking, a car slowed around me on the lane, drove on, then stopped when they realised what I was doing... and dropped a load of rubbish out the window, clearly presuming I'd just pick it up. Grown man, at least 60.

The KFC one drives me mad, as does McDonald's. I think that Drive Thru food should have your numberplate printed on it, then if you drop it you get refused service on your next visit. The ANPR technology exists to do that.

McDonald litter finds itself in some of the most bizarre places.

I've actually seen a McDonald bag up at the top of Roseberry Topping before

Burger King, too.

I genuinely belief government at all levels need to take a lead. When we were kids there were loads of adverts, we were encouraged at school, talks were given, badges handed out.

None of that now, I bet most teenagers have no idea of the country code.

it’s not acceptable, it totally disgusts me, I’ve had loads of arguments with people when out hill walking.

just like the smoking ban, people will in the whole comply if government leads and a period of fines for non compliance.

the lobbing the drive through McDonald’s out the car is my personnel red flag to a bull. I’d have those fult@rds terminated.

Remember that the clientele that "enriched" the Costas of Spain is now "Staycationing" in Blighty.

Some of the blame for fly tipping falls with Government (local and national). It used to be free to take rubbish to Council Recycling Centres, now as stated above small businesses have to pay per van load with the predictable results that you see.
