Thanks for asking. Not bad at all really. In any other year I would have been still at work. My sense of smell is largely gone and my sense of taste is distorted (I had beans on toast and the beans tasted sugary!) but other than that I feel like I have a fuzzy head and I'm a bit snotty. My wife is different, she has flu-like aches and pains but still has her sense of smell and taste intact. She is also pretty tired and didn't sleep well last night but none of us have any underlying respiratory or other health problems and it doesn't seem to affect any of us in that way, thankfully.
It is however, obvious to me that it is highly infectious, my son when he came back from Turkey kept away from us, kept largely to his room, did his own cooking, used all his own toiletries, towels etc., wore a mask if he was in the room with us, we wiped down contact surfaces, etc., etc. And we still caught it.
I am lucky in that I can work from home but I have told them I'm going to have a few days away from emails and stuff to rest up. Fortunately the way everything was timed I hadn't been into work when I might have been infectious. I think that is now my greatest concern, to avoid giving it to someone vulnerable. My next door neighbour has had recent heart problems, so I made sure he knows we're all infected and to stay well away if he sees me in the garden and not to touch my dog (dogs can't carry the virus but I suspect that if the dog has been stroked by me and then by him it could pass? Not sure but best to be safe). We would usually chat about Boro and other stuff across the fence.
