Best Takeaway in Normanby Area

Home from Chicago for the weekend and at my parents. Totally out of touch with takeaways, anyone recommend anywhere decent (any kind, but not Chinese as we are having that tomorrow apparently, so that's Saigon's ruled out sadly)??

Thanks!

I would say Whale Hill chippy is better and even bigger portions….
Burns Rd is under new ownership (new-ish) and is back on song.

If you are going for Fish and Chips, treat your parents and take them to Saltburn and the fish restaurant at the bottom car park. Very good, the views are to die for and I am sure a French chef was wax lyrical about it last year.

Edit: I've just read it is closed until February.

Will give Burns Rd another go, it was always our fave. It did get quite pricey when the New owners took over.

The Salsa Shack Eston

You could try this place if you want something different.

Edit
Looks like the website not working anymore but I think it’s still open.

Sea Breeze in Redcar is Premier League for takeaway Fish and Chips, but the Teesside area must be one of the best in the UK for Fish and Chips. I have been all around the UK.

My granny lived in Normanby and I remember in the 1960/70s the chippy there was top notch, next the Woodman Arms?

I remember Martin putting a crowd of us out of the Woodman for eating chips after we had played Saturday football. He said it stunk like a fish shop, I said, you live next door to a chippy.

He came to see me a few days later and apologised. 🤣

I wish he was in charge now, he kept a good house.
