Can anybody recommend a good online paper? I don't mind paying if it's subscription based.

Just after a good reliable non-baised (if thats even possible) paper!

Oh and just on a side note - REALLY liking the look of Sam Morsy so far.

A good ‘on line newspaper’
Depends on your definition, I guess

You can get The Guardian for free (I choose to subscribe though). Binned The Times for it.
The Byline Times is worth a look - trying to act with scrutiny so they are challenging on all fronts.

I used to love reading the times online just for the lifestyle bits, but stopped after they introduced a pay wall. As said above the guardian can be read for free

You just peaked my interest though, I think I might buy a physical copy today.

What are the perks of paying compared to the free version? It seems quite expensive compared to the telepgraphs £2 a week

The Guardian has discovered a successful business model saying you can donate if you want. And worldwide people do donate.

I quite like the Indie from what I've seen of it, though to be honest I don't subscribe to any of them.

I pay £5 / month for The Times / Sunday Times, and it's an absolute bargain - quality reporting, articles, and analysis, and a range of columnists from across the political spectrum.

I subscribe to The Guardian, but buy a paper copy of The Times and/or The Independent during the week.

I pay for The Guardian because I believe in supporting journalism. I also subscribe to The Northern Echo. Subscribing to The Guardian does give you the crosswords.
