Best away crowd in the championship over the weekend 🤔

By a good margin....

We take numbers but the support is poor.

Sadly we have a very high % of people travelling away who go for a day on the drink from 7am, take drugs to keep them going, and then spend the majority of the game aggressively kicking off at the slightest thing that goes wrong and then spend the last 10 mins of every game pointing downstairs to the home fans “offering them out” behind the safety line of stewards or police.

What’s funny is you look on Facebook and Twitter before the game and there are numerous videos of people singing and bouncing around in the concourse but then they must tire themselves out or go on a comedown during the game as it is absolutely silent. Derby recently is a perfect example. The concourse was a great atmosphere but once the game kicked off the lads who had been singing downstairs were nowhere to be seen and it was dead.

Would be interesting to see the total spend, i.e. number of fans travelling X cost of tickets purchased. We donate too much money to other clubs. Some 'levelling up' wouldn't go amiss.

I slightly disagree with this Norton. The singing in the stand was excellent pre-match as well.
Once the game kicked off we were poor, I think because
1) The Derby drum is monotonous and really makes it hard to get any song going or keep going. Drums should be banned.
2) Atmosphere is a two way street. The players need to play their part. It's hard to get behind a long hump forward just to defend the innevitable Derby attack that follows.

Generally, our away support is excellent, good numbers and noisy. I agree with your point about the concourses. It seems most of our younger fans spend more time throwing beer about whilst claiming the home city/town is a sh**hole. When I was their age my beer was for drinking, still had a good sing song but waste beer ….never!

May have the largest support mid week too - Boro fans on the road, still one of the best in the Championship.

Fulham - 1600 sold out
Derby - 2250
Coventry - 2650
Forest (midweek) - 2400?

With only 1 win all season.

Think the club said we had only sold 1200 for Forest. Expect its a sign that fans are starting to get a bit sick. We would usually come close to selling out for that even midweek

I have just checked Twitter as yes you are nearly right - they had sold just over 1300 on Monday morning - lets say 1,400 by close yesterday.

I am sure they will make a noise.
