Best advice your parents said/say that hold true

Never ever, trust a man with two first names:

1. John Leslie
2. Rolf Harris
3. Cliff Richard
4. John Gregory
5. Andy Murray

etc etc

The first time I told my Dad that I had been to see the Boro (many miles on foot and a "scramble" under the turnstile) was the only time I ever saw him angry.
He said "dont do it, they will only ever let you down".
I didn't listen and nearly sixty years later I still think I should have taken his advice.

If you're not in bed by midnight, get yourself home

Not parent but grandmother.

"There's a difference between scratching yer årse...and tearing it to pieces"
