Bernard Gent RIP

One of my first memories of Ayresome Park.

RIP
“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and welcome to Ayresome Park”. Such a legend. I knew him when he and Millsy did the Boro commentary on Radio Tees. And from when we sponsored the speedway. What a lovely fella he was. RIP Bernard The Gent.

Oh no, Bernard helped run our junior football team Guisborough Rangers and got us the gig of ball boys at the Boro vs Everton 2-2 at Ayresome. Lovely fella and that voice, the smell of cigars, the power game and hearing come on Boro from the stands, that beautiful pitch all go hand in hand. Great memories that I will never forget. RIP Bernard.

Ah that's sad, mind he must have been a good age.

RIP and thanks for the hazy golden memories of Ayresome Park in the sun, rain, hail, fog and especially under floodlights.

Oh this is sad news. A guy who epitomised Middlesbrough FC. Truly was the original voice of the Boro. By the music he played, his distinctive voice he was a guy who created memories.

He came to my house to interview me about an attack I suffered in Middlesbrough. Most of the time we talked about the Boro.

A gentleman, a legend, and a very important part of Boro history. RIP Bernard
Nosmo-king, nice memory mate 👍

So sad, as others have said, he was there at the beginning of our love affair with the mighty Boro

Ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, welcome to the home of European football Ayresome Park

RIP Bernard Gent x
